CANOE CLASSIC - 90 MILE RACE

About

This annual fall event offers an opportunity for canoe racers to test their skill and endurance on a challenging course, and for recreational paddlers to experience adventure and friendly competition amid some of the most beautiful scenery around.

The “90-Miler” follows the same routes traveled by the region’s early settlers and guides – the Fulton Chain of Lakes, rivers and portages known as the original “Highway of the Adirondacks.”

Old Forge area restaurants and taverns will be offering specials to participants.

Spectators can observe the dramatic start of the race at the Old Forge Lakefront at 8 a.m. on Friday.  The end of the race will take place on Sunday, September 13th at Prescott Park in Saranac Lake Village.
